I feel I have neglected my followers (myself and maybe my mom if she has internet access in heaven.) by not posting something in several weeks. So here are some random thoughts that have rattled around my skull lately…..
· Mit Romney? ……..really?
· The effort I have to put into NOT hitting people every day is exhausting.
· With banks and countries going under and the world economy (or most of it) in shambles can’t we just hit some Universal Money Reset Button and all start with zero? At this point don’t we all owe China trillions of dollars or something…..maybe just have ONE world bank and call it The Bank of China
· But then I kinda like the name PNC Park….BOC Park isn’t as cool.
· They should do the same thing in baseball.
· Speaking of baseball….with Fileder and Pujols leaving the NL and assclown Braun suspended for 50 games…AND maybe adding a playoff team…this HAS to be the Pirates year doesn’t it?
· RTMFJR
· Playoff party at my house.
· The Pirates have as many playoff wins as the Cincinnati Bengals since 1992. That’s just damn funny.
· The things my ninth grade students see, hear, do, and talk about on a daily basis makes me want to move my family into the Appalacian Mountains and hide.
· My daughter will be in ninth grade in approximately 270 school days.
· When I was 14 (ninth grade) I don’t think I had ever been within 10 feet of a girl alone….except maybe awkwardly waiting for a bus…and I was nervous then. And being the best wiffle ball player I could be was my life’s mission.
· I listened to Earth, Wind, and Fire back then……maybe that was half the problem…..with girls I mean.
· Fantasy is still a great song by them.
· No really……
· Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos will finish 7-9 next year….and WIN the AFC West.
· Tebow’s passer rating will be 31.6 and that will be a clear sign, because of John 3:16 that he is the messiah.
· Why is it I know all the words to the song Fantasy by Earth, Wind, and Fire (as well as Fantasy by Mariah Carey) but within the last 24 hours I’ve lost my keys twice and left my ATM card IN a machine…….
· I hate that I have to alter my body chemistry with coffee, Red Bull, or caffeine pills to keep myself from saying or doing things that will get me fired.
· Yes, I’ve seen therapists and taken medication. Put down the phone.
· This, my 17th year of teaching, has finally convinced me of one thing: I hate
teachers.
· No joke.
· That said, we are still underpaid and underappreciated. The sh.t I have to listen to and deal with from 150 14 yr olds on a daily basis would make your head spin….and then therapists and medication wouldn’t seem so funny…
· I had WAY too much fun teaching kids about the 4 points of concurrency in a triangle today….
· If Crusty the Clown was the Republican candidate and ran on the platform that America should be one big circus, and a bearded lady was his vice president, he would STILL get at least 37% of the vote in a presidential election.
· I wish that was a joke.
· Through reading a few great books and doing some research I have learned some unbelievably beautiful and amazing things about the Roman Catholic faith…stuff I never knew or considered. Why did it take 40+ years?
· It is a shame it is the only group of people on earth you can rip into or even slander without so much as a peep of objection from anyone. Politcal correctness does NOT apply. A handful of sick idiots ruins the reputation of a few BILLION people on the planet.
· That said, the Roman Catholic church needs to make serious changes…
· Stephen King can really tell a story.
· One month. Just one month. Is that too much to ask for the Penguins to have a full lineup? The last time they had a full lineup….let’s see….oh ya….THEY WON THE DAMN STANLEY CUP!!!
Ok..enough rambling for this post. Clearing the mind of random stuff is very liberating. I think I’ll go punch a kid.
